wildfires
A wildfire is an uncontrolled fire in a forest, grassland, or field of crops. Wildfires can spread quickly across forests and fields, giving you little time to evacuate to safety. Drought, dry conditions, and the careless use of fire all contribute to increased risk of wildfire.

colorado wildfires
As dry conditions persist throughout the state, multiple wildfires have continued to burn in Colorado, including the Cameron Peak Fire, CalWood Fire and the Lefthand Canyon Fire. This year's fire season has had the largest recorded wildfires in Colorado's history and has led to the evacuation of thousands of people and damage to numerous homes and structures.
Team Dominator Storm Recovery Foundation is dedicated to providing valuable information not only for those choosing to make donations to relief organizations, but also to those affected who are looking for immediate assistance in their area.
Listed below are links for ways to help those affected.
**NEW INFO FOR IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE - East Troublesome Fire**
The East Troublesome Fire is now the fourth-largest wildfire in Colorado's history. Three of the state's largest wildfires on record have now occurred in 2020. 100,000 acres have burned in a single day. Please consider donating or becoming a volunteer to help those in need.
Grand County Outbreak of Kindness charity organization is asking for volunteers at their local Red Cross chapter to assist evacuees at the Silver Creek Inn. If you are willing and able to help please email volunteer Kevin Kozuch (kkozuch@yahoo.com) confirming your phone number and email address and they will put you on a specific call list for wildfire evacuation support.
The organization also needs shoppers and people to deliver food to the Red Cross lodging for the people who have been evacuated.
Please email Jen at jfanning@gcruralhealth.org if you are able to volunteer.
Clothes and food items are also needed for immediate donation. Please visit the Facebook group Grand County Outbreak of Kindness for a list of needed items and where to donate.
You may also make a monetary donation to this charity at Grand County Rural Health Network.

California and Oregon Wildfires
An unprecedented fire season is wreaking havoc across the Western US, with wildfires blazing across multiple states and air quality deteriorating. Numerous deaths have been reported, with dozens more missing and over 3,000 homes destroyed since the season began. In Oregon, half a million people were under evacuation orders as two fires threatened to merge and continue rapidly advancing. Oregon fires have burned more than 1 million acres. California's wildfires, driven by extreme blazes in August and September, have already burned more acres than any year on record.
